The A-Teens, Antioch’s middle and high school teens, are learning to use the power within them to fight against the evil in this world (“…because the One who is in you is greater than the one that is in the World.” – 1 John 4:4). First Peter 3:15 says, “But in your hearts revere (set apart/make) Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to anyone who asks you to give a reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect…”
We want our students to “always be prepared” as they face the challenges of this world, by having Christ as the Lord of their lives. This means that He is not just a part of our lives, but rather He is the focus and drive behind everything that we do. From their preparedness they can then go into their schools and their after school activities being sure of what they believe and having the confidence to stand up against that which would opposition them.
As a church we want to partner with parents to instill biblical values and truth in our youth in the midst of a world that is trying to encourage anything contrary to what we believe. We believe that having fun in church is possible and that there is a time to laugh and play and then there is also a time to be serious and to be shown truth. We know the importance of the Word of God, even though its words were written a long time ago. The Bible, to us, is timeless and is just as relevant today as it was when it was written. As A-Teens we know, love and cherish the Gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and for this reason we will share His love with this World.
If you are looking and longing for a place to be included and to be shown truth, then we would encourage you to check us out. We would love to have you join us for one of our meeting times during the week. We meet on Sunday mornings for Sunday school and on Sunday nights for our big group time and small groups. On Wednesdays we also have a quick time of devotion and then we have game time where we try to have some fun in the midst of crazy and busy weeks.
